Why we built it

Microplastics are now everywhere — in human blood, brains, lungs, placentas, and reproductive tissue. The average person ingests roughly five grams per week, the weight of a credit card. Until recently, there was no scientifically-validated way to remove them once they're inside the body.

That changed with a 2025 study published in Scientific Reports (Nature). Researchers led by Prof. Muneshige Shimizu tested several non-digestible dietary materials and found that chitosan — a natural polysaccharide derived from chitin — bound microplastic particles in the gastrointestinal tract and significantly increased their excretion rate. The fecal microplastic excretion rate jumped from 83.7% in the control group to 115.6% in the chitosan group, suggesting chitosan helped excrete pre-existing accumulated microplastics in addition to those administered during the study.

What makes our product different

The microplastic supplement category emerged quickly in 2024–2025, and most products on the market follow a familiar pattern: kitchen-sink formulas combining activated charcoal, zeolite, bentonite clay, milk thistle, NAC, and various herbs in proprietary blends.
